Among the types of pipes designed for heating, copper products occupy the dominant positions. Copper pipes outnumber analogues from other types of metal and plastic in all respects. The only reason copper pipes are not included in the use is their high cost. However, their benefits fully justify the cost of buying and installing.

Ease. Even the most thin-walled copper tubes for heating have high strength indicators. This is especially important for single-tube heating systems, in which the temperature of the first radiator may differ from the temperature of the latter by 70-80 degrees. This means that in the initial section of the system the temperature of the coolant can reach 150 degrees;
lack of corrosion. Constant contact with water does not cause rust on copper. On the walls of pipes do not form deposits that prevent the passage of liquid, due to the absolute smoothness of the material;
Frost resistance. When the system is frozen or some of its parts, copper does not lose its plasticity. The copper pipeline can work invariably after 4 freezing cycles.
When setting up a heating system with copper pipes, it is worth remembering that these products are incompatible with aluminium radiators. The same rule applies to copper water pipes: the simultaneous use of aluminum plumbing is unacceptable.

From materials that provide transparency layer, you can choose VL-15 varnish or epoxy varnish. Also used is ethonic varnish mixed with fine aluminum powder.
It is recommended to prime the surface of the pipe before applying a layer of paint or varnish. The grounding of the pipe also requires preparatory measures: if the pipe is re-painted, the previous layer is removed as if possible. The surface of the pipe should be washed and dried thoroughly. The grounding is applied in a thin layer, especially convenient to do it with a flat brush.
When painting the pipe, you should count on the fact that the copper will not absorb the paint. Therefore, varnish or enamel before application should be stewed on a separate surface. To simplify the work, you can use paint materials in the form of aerosols. Paints or varnishes for copper heating pipes are better to apply in two layers. The first layer should dry completely, it will take 6 to 8 hours.
In the question of how to combine the structure of copper pipes, the decisive factor will be the experience of who will carry out the installation work. There are three main methods of connecting copper pipes: capillary ration, high-temperature ration, fitting connector connection.
The copper pipe. Capillary ration gives an excellent effect, in which molten solder, subject to adhesion, fills a weld. This connection is highly reliable. The technical side of this work does not contain any particular difficulties: welding of copper pipes can be carried out with your own hands.
The result of the welding connection largely depends on the quality of the selected sormit. The most common use is a standard solder, also suitable for brass rations or white tin. Such stool is suitable only for heating systems, for water pipes with the supply of drinking water its use is prohibited. For welded compounds with fittings, there are soft swells that require pre-applying flux. The swells with copper-phosphorus composition do not require the use of a flux.
Before welding the pipe, the surface should be cleaned of dirt, dust or fat.
Useful advice! Tools containing abrasive particles cannot be used to clear the end of the pipe. Diamond mesh or sandpaper is not suitable for this purpose. It is better to apply brushes or sponges of medium rigidity.
The cleaned node of the joint is evenly warmed by a blowtorch or gas burner. To check whether the wall of the pipe has reached the optimal temperature, you can use a rod snot. If it starts to melt when touching the surface of the pipe, then you can start welding.
After the sing is completely filled, the gap between the parts of the structure should not be mechanically exposed until completely cooled. Then the remnants of the flux and swell are removed by a soft rag. After all welding has been done, the copper system should be rinsed with hot water.
Tsang compounds of copper pipes. Such compounds are made using compression (crimping) fittings. Installation work in this case requires certain skills and a high degree of attention. During the work, it is necessary to monitor the purity of the fitting thread and the sections of pipes involved in the connection.
The copper pipe with fitting should be applied very carefully. Lack of force when connecting will result in insufficient sealing of the joint. And with a little more effort than required, you can break the edge of the nut.
In addition to tsang (compression) fittings, threadfittings, fittings under rations (with tin as a solder), press fittings are produced for copper pipe compounds.
